Multi-Truck Load Management

Multi-Truck Load Management

Hey Bubba! is an AI back-office automation platform for fleets. Across a fleet, that means managing loads for every truck in parallel rather than in sequence. Load search, broker negotiation, assignment and paperwork run at the same time for each truck, filtered to that truck’s position, equipment, driver hours and lane rules.

One person works one truck at a time

Not by choice, but because a phone call is a phone call. While someone negotiates a load for truck 4, trucks 7 and 11 are waiting, and the loads that would have suited them are being covered by someone else.

That queue is the real cost of running a fleet by hand. The work is not hard; it is serial, and freight is not.

What parallel actually means

Every truck searched at once. Not one board query filtered afterwards, but separate criteria per truck, running at the same time.

Several negotiations at the same time. Bubba can hold more than one broker conversation at once. How rate negotiation works.

Assignment across the fleet, not per load. When two trucks could take a load, it goes to the one where it makes more sense, accounting for where each truck needs to be next rather than only which is closer.

Paperwork and check calls throughout. Rate confirmations are read, PODs are filed and tracking requests are answered for every truck while the rest of the work continues. More on automated check calls.

What decides the assignment

  • Live GPS position from your telematics
  • Hours of Service remaining per driver
  • Equipment type and trailer specification
  • Certification requirements on the load, such as hazmat
  • Lane preferences, minimum rate per mile and deadhead limits
  • Where each truck needs to be next

Rules you set, and a person for the exceptions

Equipment requirements, lane preferences, minimum rate per mile and maximum deadhead are rules you configure. Anything outside them stops and comes to a person: a rate below your minimum, non-standard terms, a breakdown or a load that needs a judgement call.

At fleet scale

  • Small fleets, 2 to 10 trucks. No truck waits for its turn.
  • Midsize fleets, 11 to 50 trucks. The office stops triaging and starts handling exceptions.
  • Enterprise fleets, 50 or more trucks. The fleet is worked as a fleet rather than as a queue.

Frequently asked questions

Can Bubba work loads for several trucks at once?

Yes. Searches and broker conversations run in parallel across the fleet.

How does it decide which truck gets a load?

Position, hours remaining, equipment, certification requirements and lane rules, plus where each truck needs to be next.

What happens when a load falls outside the rules?

It is escalated to a person rather than booked. Rates below your minimum, unusual terms and exceptions on the road all come to someone who can decide.

Does it work with the systems we already use?

It connects to load boards, ELDs and TMS platforms, and keeps adding systems on request. The full list is on the connected tools page.
