A check call is a routine status update — dispatch asking a driver where they are, whether they have loaded, or whether they are empty. A dispatcher managing fifteen trucks can make dozens a day. Each one interrupts a driver and produces information the ELD already knows, which is why automating them frees capacity on both sides.

2. Does the driver have to install an app?

No. Updates can run through voice calls or text, so a driver can respond hands-free without navigating a mobile form while operating the vehicle. Fleets already using a driver app can keep it; the communication layer works alongside it.

3. What gets escalated to a human?

Anything outside routine status: accident reports, mechanical breakdowns, serious delays, and any situation your configured thresholds flag. Routine ETAs and arrival confirmations are handled automatically; judgment calls go to a dispatcher.

4. Does this replace our dispatchers?
